Use the Praise app for Teams to provide recognition and celebrate success
Sam Walton, founder of Walmart once said ‘Nothing else can quite substitute for a few well-chosen, well-timed, sincere words of praise. They’re absolutely free and worth a fortune’
And that is absolutely the purpose of the free Praise app from Microsoft that’s available in Teams.
To add, click Apps and search for ‘Praise’.
It is use is simple, inside a new Chat or Channel post click the + (plus) button and add Praise.
Five simple steps:
- Choose the colleague you’d like to recognise, you can add multiple people if want to (they will need to all be members of the channel or in the chat conversation)
- Select one of the preset titles and badges
- Include your personal message
- Select a colour scheme
- Preview and send
Your virtual shout out appears as an eye-catching card for your colleague and other team members to see and enjoy.
Here’s a list of the titles and badges you can use:
- Awesome
- Thank you
- Congratulations
- Achiever
- Problem solver
- Courage
- Team player
- Kind heart
- Optimism
- Creative
- Leadership
- Inclusive
- Coach
- Growth
You can find a summary of praise you’ve shared and received in your Viva Insights dashboard too.
