Creating a Webinar in Teams 

Setting up a webinar in Teams is super easy. Just follow these simple steps to get started: 

• Open Microsoft Teams and head over to the Calendar. 
• Click on "New Meeting" and select "Webinar" from the dropdown menu. 
• Fill in the details like the title, date, and time of your webinar. 
• Invite presenters and co-organisers by adding their email addresses. 
• Customise the registration form to gather info from attendees. 
• Send out invitations or share the registration link with your audience.  

Once your webinar is set up, you can manage registrations, track attendance, and even record the session for future reference. 

Use Cases for Teams Webinar Over a Normal Team Meeting 

While a standard Teams meeting is great for everyday collaboration, the Webinar template offers several perks for specific scenarios: 

Large Audience Engagement: Webinars are perfect for events with a large number of attendees, like announcements, training sessions, or public presentations. The registration feature helps manage and track participants effectively.

Reach a Global Stage: Webinars are not just limited to your coworkers (although they can be), your booking page is available to externals too to allow clients, customers or colleagues on a differing network to sign up and get involved! 

Making Your Webinar Feel Like a Normal Meeting 

One of the great features of the Teams Webinar over other tools is the ability to enable microphones and cameras for attendees. Its features, such as large audience management, interactive capabilities, self-serve registration, and an easily customised booking page, make it an excellent choice for a variety of use cases. There are some additional Premium features, but it's great as it is in basic Teams.
